We carry out maintained load static pile testing using both 4 and 6 anchors. Our mobile equipment ensures easy access to site and quick set up.

Static pile tests are used to ascertain the performance of the pile over time when subjected to a specific load. These are actual figures and not calculated.

Our standard test is carried out over a period of 16 hours and can be adapted to accommodate clients specific requirements

How static pile testing works

  1. The client drives the pile and prepares the site with a test pile and either 4 or 6 anchor piles.

  2. A reaction beam is fixed to the anchors and the load is applied to the test pile by a hydraulic jack. The load is maintained for a pre-determined time and increased in agreed increments. The test cycle is controlled by our bespoke automated system.

  3. The load and movement of the pile is monitored by our computerised logging equipment both on and off site. The system uses four electronic gauges to monitor the movement of the pile

  4. The results are downloaded from the logger and collated into an easily readable format.
